Update: as of Oct 23,2007: Slice was down again due to it just plain being deleted! LOL! I would surmise using the logic of these people that God was angry with them... but that is not MY theology it is theirs... Slice then be came the "kinder gentler" hope... but then Ingrid lost hope and went back to Slice 3.0... so the saga continues!)
(Update: As I looked over my stats I noticed that "anonymous" was from Wisconsin, which is coincidentally where WVCY is located... So I have a feeling I was visited by someone from CRN. Most probably Ingrid her self... I am mostly guessing from the convoluted logic in her arguments... which is not a put down... just consistent to what went on at Slice... and so far at CRN. I did a comment on the old Slice once on a post about the “Exchanged Life” that was getting many positive comments... mine was to ask why if I teach that, I am branded a heretic by Ken Silva and his "disciple"... the comment never went through. I unlike this person even left my name and contact info.
If this was an attempt to build a bridge by someone at CRN, it was not a very good one... and a bit dishonest if the "anonymous post should not be taken seriously" philosophy is still a part of CRN as it was on Slice. It only shows again the hypocrisy and true integrity of CRN. I decided that because "anonymous was getting more and more aggressive in their defense and less and less "loving" in their rebuke to not let anonymous posts through for a while. It seems the posting stopped. I do not like to do this as some of my readership has let me know they are in sensitive positions or jobs and to post their name, would be unsafe. This blog reaches countries that many Christian blogs are censored so i have respected that in the past and will in the near future return to letting anonymous posts through. If it was someone from CRN then they should live by their own convictions.)
(Update 2: It seems that the person "anonymous" (From Brookfield, Wisconsin) is still hovering but is afraid to actually let us know who she/he is... but I still suspect. Also, as I cruised around the new CRN site... it really is boring... without the interaction I see no sticking power... which is fine with me... so keep up the great work!)
Christian Research Net,the new master mind of the old Slice of Laodicea is back and even is ripping of ole Walter Martin in the process. This new blog seems to be the same as the old blog except for one big noticeable thing... absolutely no accountability... they do not allow comments whatsoever.
So it seems that those who abuse others to bring them back into the fold now have further ghettoized themselves and are content at abusing without listening to the one's they abuse.
Personally with new look, and the new attitude, and the new... oh who are they kidding? They just don't believe anyone is right but them... but the Scripture tells us otherwise...
Romans 3: 10 - 18. As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips." "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness." "Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes." (NIV)
So all hopes in a real change... seem to be gone at this point.
Here is the new Slice, the same as the old slice, but we won't be fooled again!
Sad really,
iggy

Do you really think that Romans passage about everyone being a fallen sinner actually means "none of us can ever be right where someone else is wrong"? Do you think that it cancels-out all of the rebuke/correct scriptures in the bible? I don't care whether you think "xyz group" is a valid source of rebuke or not, think about what YOU just tried to make Romans 3 imply. That is rank mishandling of the bible, in front of a world wide audience.
Also noted: You are correcting THEM in this post.
It's really not surprising that comments have been turned off. They don't want to have a discussion or, heaven forbid, a "conversation" - they just want to express their views and you keep yours to yourself, thank you very much.
Ah, well. No surprise. They just came up with a more intelligent sounding name, but their innards are the same.
Anonymous,
You missed the point completely. And I think you need to practice what you are preaching as you are judging me all over the place here...
Matt,
Yes, like the Pharisees of Jesus day they washed the outside of the cup didn't they?
Blessings,
iggy
I don't miss the comments, most of the good comments, well spoken responses and comments that pointed out their misteps were usually blocked anyway. Or worse, they would let the first comment through and then one of their yes men/women would point out why you were totally wrong, and then when you'd post another comment to defend your point, that would be blocked making it seem like the yes men/women had defeated your argument and left you speechless.
Kevin,
I don't want to say it too loudly but I really do think the "stickiness" of SOL was the conflict and not knowing if your comment would go through... but knowing that the "yes men" would go through...
I hope that the new format does not have the stickiness... in fact I haven't visited CRN in the last couple of days... can you imagine that? LOL! I just forgot to...
Really I see it was the conflict and interaction that made SOL as popular... any chance to say, "gotch ya" and point out how potty mouthed or mean or whatever those evil, apostate, gay lovin', Brian (the cult leader) McLaren, Rob (the fibber) Bell, and Mark (the potty mouth) Dricoll and iggy (the apostate heretic) might say...
Really Ken Silva was the only one that let my comments through, I think mostly (at least I hope) it was because the person accusing me of the latest heresy was wrong and Ken knew it... so would let me defend myself.
I do hope though that CRN moves away from "hate" rhetoric and into real education. I appreciate that T.D Jakes is being challenged on his "Oneness" doctrine... though again the confrontational style is a bit... not majorly overboard as it lack any Grace and Mercy and often in the "open letters" there is no room for anyone to come out clean... which is what God did for us... give us Grace to come out clean from our sins... a bit of hypocrisy if you ask me.
Blessings,
iggy
