The Burning Hatred of God
Update: The author above has deleted the post above and re edited it to be "more biblical". The new and improved version is Monday, February 12, 2007 and called "Celebrating The Wrath Of God--A Cosmic Dance In The Theater Of Space And Time For All Sentient Beings To Watch, Mouths Open. 2nd edition."
he seems to be moving closer to Truth... yet still is very much into proving to God he is worthy to be saved by his own works...
This is from his other blog...
"Requirements:1. Prayer and fasting. You will be expected to do both the day before an event.
2. Holiness of life. You will be expected to confess all sin and get rid of it before an event.
3. Preach and witness at least once a week. Week days and Saturdays we will go to the skateboard park, other parks, bars, gathering places, etc. There we will preach repentance and grace to unbelievers with boldness. On Sundays we will preach repentance to church goers in the parking lots of Billings churches."
Notice #2 he teaches YOU must get rid of your own sin... yet the bible teaches that Jesus is the Lamb that "takes away the sins of the world"... yet denies the atoning sacrifice of Christ and teaches one must purify themselves to be acceptable to God... and others to his standard.
He teaches that what God has made clean is still unclean... and that unbelievers should not be allowed in Churches.
This man also rails against "missional living" in which we build relationships with others to lead them to Christ... and then goes out to "make friends"... a bit of double speak... I am not against him street preaching, but since when is a mega church parking lot a street? How about preaching to the lost sheep?
The over all tone of this man is consistant with his "god" of hate and wrath. My prayer is that he ocmes to know the Love of Christ and that Love will compell him. As without love our works are worthless...and Christless. (
I know you read me... and my prayers are with you and for you).
(end update)
Yep… God (still) hates YOU!!!!
So if you are not upright… you too are going to hell…
Now lets get real here, this person basically is stating something in some ways I have even written about my self and he has railed against… yet he just goes that extra step… to works righteousness. This person seems to think that God hates everyone… and misses the point that it is SELF RIGHTEOUS that God detests… the haughty heart… the proud who do not bend a knee and claim that they do not need God for their righteousness…
I remember a verse about God loving the world… so much He sent His Son. In fact I think it even says we will not perish if we do one thing… believe in that Son.
This is the same theology that Fred Phelps pushes and is as un-Biblical as can be… if one desires to be discipled…. Beware of false teachers who claim that there is righteousness apart from Jesus… for it is by Grace we are saved not works…
Romans 11:5-6 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
Ephesians 2:1-5
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved.
This person simply misses the point of God’s great love and if you spend any time on his blogs he rails against the love and passion God has for us…
The issue is that he is so out of balance that he has placed himself above reproach by the justification of his own works…
He quotes a scripture after his “ranting”.
Listen to what the Spirit of God says: "The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD'S throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked,And the one who loves violence His soul hates. Upon the wicked He will rain snares;Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup. For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face."Psalm 11:4-7
It is interesting that here God says he hates someone who has "violence in his soul"… and that "the LORD is righteous"… and "the upright will behold His face"… but again, not by our own examination of our own works… but by the Works Of Christ that have been prepared for us to do from God Himself. In fact this man sets out to harm is brothers and sisters is his twisted gospel and "does violence" to them!
Philippians 2: 12. Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
My prayers are with this person daily that he does come to the fullness of the knowledge of Christ… that he leaves the false Gospel of “works righteousness” and the True love of God fills his hurting heart. Beware of these kind of people who pervert the Gospel for their own selfish ambition... (Galatians 5)
Romans 3:20-28 20. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
To sum this all up... this false gospel is this... God hates you and you are going to hell... unless you are good enough to please God's righteousness... well all I can say is this... Good luck!
As far as making you election sure... here is the passage:
2 Peter 1- 12 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.
Obedience is about God's Faithfulness to us... not about our determination of will to produce a righteousness apart from Christ's... And how do we respond to God's Faithfulness to us? The Apostle John was kind enough to let us know.
1 John 3: 23 -24. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
So don't let someone tell you HATE is a Christian virtue... that is a lie... God does not hate you... He loves you and desires that you spend eternity... with Him... restored to being the Image that you were created to be.
Update: At best this person will say that we need to be saved by Grace through faith... yet I think they still confuse fear with love... And I really see they miss the purpose of the Law... which again I see they may confuse the Law (commandments of the OT) with the Law of Love (Commandment in the NT). For to come to God out of fear is not to come to God in Love... for as John teaches in 1 John 4:15 - 19 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.
The teachings of Scripture also states 1 John 4:7 -8 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We are to be born again in love... not out of fear. Fear comes out of transgression... or repercussion of the transgression, yet God has forgiven all of sin... under the law one had great fear of the Lord.. yet now as the Kingdom of God has been given to all, we are to enter in Love... and by His Love.
To drive one to the Lord in fear is only pushing an emotional decision...which is not a good one. The kindness of God draws us to repentance.
Should someone who does not know Jesus as King, be afraid, yes... but to tell someone that they will burn in eternity is much like the idea of the Jihadist with sword in hand screaming, "accept Alla or die". It is not much of a way to have one become a true disciple.
One must be born again, by the Spirit of God to be able to enter the Kingdom of God, yet I spent too many years in fear, until the Love of God overwhelmed me and then I was changed. God does not want us to live in fear of Him, but to live in a life of passionate love with Him.
Blessings,
iggy

Who said this? did you link to their sight because I think I missed the link...
Actually it is the first link on th epage and the same person who linked to this page and called the God who Loves us a "girly god"...
Which only proves my point further as he blasphemes the God who loves us as a "girly god".
Blessings,
iggy
