Stryper, Fischer and Jesus

I introduced my son to Stryper tonight... via an old VHS cassette of a concert in Tokyo. I was sort of joking as I put it in as it is so dated...

I will say that the musicianship is very good! I did not know that Michael Sweet did as much guitar work as he did.

Now, I was thinking that my boy tire soon and demand his Vegitales... yet he seem more fixated than I thought he would be.

He was even yelling out lines from the songs! "Together Forever!" "Jesus is the way!" coming out of my sons mouth! It was hilarious and great at the same time.

He was fascinated by Michael's hair... he said he wanted his that way! LOL! (I am still not sure how I feel about that as Oz Fox's hair is cooler!)

It was fun... the video is a bit low budget yet the Stryper without pyrotechnics seemed to hold the audience... of course Michael sounds a bit funny speaking too slowly so the Japanese audience could understand English...

Well after all these years, the Yellow and Black attack is still spreading the Name of Jesus...

and my son was impressed...

BTW he is 3 1/2 years old...
Also, did you know what Stryper means?
Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace Encouragement and Righteousness...
And that is still cool!

Be Blessed,
iggy

I admit it i am still a fan... I tried to deny it but they still make me smile and want to sing.

"Jesus is way!"

I thought my son would really get mad and demand Vegietales, but he really wanted to watch Stryper! LOL!

He was not as impressed with Kutless' DVD though...

Blessings,
iggy

Hey Iggy
Thanks for the highlight on your blog! That was cool surprise when I clicked to your page.

Your son's reaction to Stryper is great. My five year old has similar music tastes. When we hop in the car he usually clammers " Put in Strypers". I picked up their latest last year when they came through Salt Lake. I give the guys credit, there was only about 30 or 40 of us there but they performed like there was an arena. It took me back, and I was glad to get the chance to see em again. I even caught a bible! Heh!
