It seems that certain "discernment groups" have missed they are not discerning their own divisiveness. In the spirit of this world they continue chasing their own selfish ambition to their own ruin. There was some question as to why Slice of Laodicea disappeared, which now we realize was because the "discernment group" masterminds could not even get along with each other. In fact they imploded.
The Bible warns against people like this and calls it "selfish ambition" Galatians 5:19 - 21 is clear that this is not of the Holy Spirit. "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."
If you notice some other signs of their sinful acts are popping out all over...
"Hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy" are all showing out there on their very sleeves. How clear of a warning and how much proof that these people are not following God but the idol of their own self worth and self promotion.
Those of us who have and still receive the bulk of the hatred and fits of rage, are now seeing these peoples true nature. If they were just preaching Christ out of selfish ambition as in Philippians 1:17 I would not care as long as no harm was happening to my brothers and sisters in the Lord, yet these people rarely if ever even preach the Gospel they say they believe and seem to think it easier to cast stones at other believers they deem as "heretics" and "sinners" even going so far as to say that these "sinners" should not be allowed in their churches. The judge and condemn anyone they deem a lesser brother or sister and do not follow the teachings of scripture (which they claim to be defending) that they are to approach someone who has fallen in a gentle and humble manner. So the without realizing it nullify their rebukes for they themselves have placed themselves above reproach and beyond anyone else's rebuke... even scriptures clear teachings.
I do commend my brothers that have been attacked for maintaining great dignity under fire... and as Paul states in Philippians 1:27-28 " Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved--and that by God."
That one man I Christ Whom we stand on and that One Spirit is the Spirit of Reconciliation and Love... that we stand and proclaim the Gospel of the King and His Kingdom.
It would easy to gloat, yet I find myself not gloating as they do over what they perceive as a brother whose church was failing, (which was a lie) or even as one from their own ranks falls in the sin of homosexuality and they swoop in like vultures to pick the bone of their won comrade. I find myself greatly saddened that some choose to follow their fleshly ways and yet condemn others if they perceive that of them. I am saddened that these people decide to shame the Church and our Lord with their selfish ambition and call it of God.
I ask that we continue to pray, as I do see God cleaning house and exposing these who teach that judging the eternal destiny of others is their mandate and thus usurping Jesus from the Throne and judging things before their appointed time. That they confuse discernment with judgmental-ism and condemnation.
Pray for them to be reconciled with the Head which Whom they have come disconnected from.
