Been a weird but busy couple of weeks

I have been a little silent on my blog. However, been hard at work in other areas... that as it may be, partly that I am looking for a job. Meanwhile, I am selling books on Amazon.com under the name Saving Faith Books (Yeah there are some books I would not rather sell) as well as changing the name of my radio station to Saving Faith Radio (which includes changing over the blog for the station.) I have been selling books pretty well.

The idea behind the station name change was this: I decided that iggyROCKS! sounded a bit amateur. I hope to move on and grow the station in a bit of a different direction and thought the name change to Saving Faith Radio might make it sound more interesting. My thinking is that 1. There is a saving faith that leads us to Jesus. 2. There are many out there who are hurting and their faith is fading, and they need a place to help save their faith. 3. It sounded a bit like saving face… Other than that, it just seemed a time for change. I did notice my numbers have changed dramatically as I was in the top 50 in my genre and now popped into the top 100. Mostly I believe is that no one can find me under the new name. It may take a while for the name to register with live365.com so for at time if you are still looking for my station, you can find it under iggyrocks. Also, I have started more live shows, and have figured out a way to take live calls. Believe me it is all very low-tech.

I also plan to add more shows and have been talking to JR Harrison, who is one of the Out Law Preachers to do an audio version of his blog sermons. I hope this will add a bit more spice to the mix.

While I am writing I might as well point to a few things around the blogosphere. JR Harrison’s blog as he has many great thoughts there… also Brandon Mouser calls out Ken Silva on his version of a picture (Brandon was present for the picture while Ken was sitting in his evil lair thinking of new things to make up.) It is funny reading good ole Ken as he has not changed and begins to sound more and more like Pee Wee Herman “I know you are, but what am I?”

I have fallen in love with the Out Law Preachers. While some are more radical about Grace than I am, I see God is doing something great with these radicals. So if you are on Twitter as well as on Facebook check them out.

I had a run in with an old friend. I still consider him a friend though since he has turned agnostic or atheist or whatever, he seems to be angered when I even try to interact with him. In fact his story is that he was a Fundamentalist Baptist, who slowly became a Christian Universalist, then read a book debunking the inerrancy and infallibility of the bible and so, lost his faith in God all together. I mentioned that these terms are not even taught in the bible (yes it is “God breathed” and “inspired” but I see those word often packed with meaning not found in the text itself… so when you find an original text we can talk further on infallibility, you might then have a strong case). He then went into strange rants about what I believe (though he was not even close) as well as telling me I must believe the bible is all Truth! Ummm… I pointed out that Satan is quoted in the Bible and his words are lies, not truth… yet sadly it just turned uglier and uglier… to the point he told me to “F*** off”. Well, I hope he is content… still sad to lose a friend I respected and loved over the years. It seemed that he went full circle in his fundamentalism mindset though. I know that Atheists bristle at the idea of being called a fundy, but you are… you have a belief system which is a “religion” of sorts… Believe me I knew guys whose religion is Harley Davidson so don’t tell me atheism is not a religion. You worship science, and your own knowledge… you worship self ego etc… etc… etc… If I turned atheist I would worship peanut butter and fishing… A friend pointed out this site I think expresses my thoughts in a humorous way about atheistic fundamentalist… check it out. Personally, the one big reason (besides not being able to deny that Jesus entered my life as He did) that I would never become an atheist or agnostic, is the ones I run into are just plain mean people. (Just watch the comments over that one!) BTW, I believe that this person worshiped the bible and Jesus wanted to break him of his idolatry... of course if he ever reads this he will blow a gasket (though he is never angry... haha!)

I also have been doing fund raising for different ministries in Africa and soon India... you have read a few past posts on this so I will not say much more other than I hope to move forward to start a non-profit organization soon that helps out small ministries that God seems to be bringing to me.

Well, that is about it for now. I hope to get back teaching on my blog soon… so beware!

Quoting Tozer: Isn't it Great that CRN is anti-mystics yet...

I find it so funny that CRN quotes Tozer regularly... and yet rants against many things Tozer taught!

1. Tozer promoted "Christian mysticism".

Although many Christians cringe at the term “mystic,” A.W. Tozer used the term to mean, “that spiritual experience common to the saints of the Bible times and well known to multitudes of persons in the post-biblical era.” He referred to the evangelical mystic as one “who has been brought by the gospel into intimate fellowship with the Godhead.” from the back of the book: The Christian Book of Mystical Verse by A. W. Tozer

2. Tozer promoted "Free Will" Here is another source.

Tozer was asked by a young man studying at a Bible school, "Dr. Tozer when the boys begin to debate Arminian and Calvinistic theology, what position should I take." Dr. Tozer replied, "Son, when they begin that debate you go and get in your prayer closet and you cry out to God and in four years you will be closer to the Lord but those boys will still be debating Arminianism and Calvinism."

Now the real question is why would CRN quote Tozer and as I also do at times... being of emerging persuasion... I believe this quote sums it up.

Some wonder why "Tozer's writings are as fresh today as when he was alive. It is because, as one friend commented, "He left the superficial, the obvious and the trivial for others to toss around. . . . [His] books reach deep into the heart."

Yet, if one disagrees with someone to the point of name calling and often slanderous accusations... then why quote from someone that seems to back the ideas of your opponent... unless it is to show both are wrong. Why use one to show his ideals are yours when they are not? Now that IS the question that one need ask CRN.

Be Blessed,
iggy

Dwayna Litz: The High Priestess of CRN Attributes Creation to Satan

OK I know i am pushing it a bit on the title... but not as much as Dwayna Litz does on this post at CRN.

She says this:

"5 Elements (pentagram)Earth, wind, fire, air, sky (or spirit)
Satan has (limited) power over the elements
Job 2:6-God gives Satan power (Job 1:6-8)
Job 1:16- Satan sends fire from heaven
Job 1:17- Satan has power over the nations
Job 2: 7- Satan has power over disease (limited)
Exodus 7:22- Satan duplicated miracles of Moses-power to work miracles
Revelation 21:1, 5 - God destroys the elements/ new heaven and new earth"

Yet, at Mosaic they say this:

WIND - Commission - Acts 2:2
Mission is why the Church exists.
WATER - Community - John 7:38
Love is the context for all mission.
WOOD - Connection - John 15:5
Structure must always submit to Spirit.
FIRE - Communion - Hebrews 12:29
Relevance to culture is not optional.
EARTH - Character - Genesis 2:7
Creativity is the natural result of spirituality

Now if one looks at the Bible about these things we find some interesting things...

Wind is also the word for Breath... and is often a reference to the Holy Spirit.

Dwayna attributes Wind to Satan... yet scripture states that God is in control...

Genesis 8:1Genesis 8 "But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded."

Water is often used in the bible for the symbol of being cleansed by God... It is related to Baptism... again God also used water to save Noah and judge the world... so God is in control of the water. (Matthew 3:11; Hebrews 10: 19-22 ; 1 Peter 3:18-20)

Wood was used for fuel at the alters for sacrifice. It is also what the Cross was made of... so also God told Noah to Build the Ark out of wood... So to attribute wood to Satan is to attribute the Cross to Satan also!

Fire is what the Holy Spirit is likened to. It is also how God will cleanse the earth... so God is in control of fire... remember also it was not Satan who sent fire that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah... but God... and Satan was limited by God in what he could do to Job.

Earth is what God created for man to dwell on... God created it and called it good... God is also redeeming it from dominion of fallen mankind.

Dwayna needs to be careful as she is falling into the same thing the Pharisees did with Jesus. Matthew 12:24 states much the same thought that she expresses... "But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." "

Beware when someone attributes the things of God to Satan... as the scripture teaches: 2 Cor 11: 12-15 "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."

Be not deceived...

Blessings,
iggy

More misrepresenting…. Did they even listen to the report?

More misrepresenting…. Did they even listen to the report?

This was the quote as given by Christian Research Network or CRN.

“We did everything except shoot Jesus out of a cannon, you know, in order to be hip and cool, right.” Followed by Wrong very wrong…

But the line after this was “But after a while we thought… why don’t we just be ourselves?”

The way CRN presents this is that John Musick was promoting shooting Jesus out of a cannon… but John was stating that entertaining people to come to church was not working (by a bit of an exaggeration)… and that to be authentic and real is better… so… the question then is…

Why does CRN think it wrong to be an authentic and real Christian?

You can read their twisted version of truth here.

Then watch the video yourself from their own website!

Why do I stay with the emerging church? Because I have found that the emerging church holds truth more highly than these so called watchblogs who twist things to their own version of truth and hold no real regard for the truth they claim to be fighting for. Time after time I have pointed to he hypocrisy, lies and hate.

Ken Silva, why do you keep reporting lies? Could it be the Truth is not in you? Do facts mean nothing to you and your posse of judgmentalism? I only see the scripture being fulfilled in CRN... 1 Tim 1:7-11 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm. We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

So keep preaching the law... for I see it is not done with you yet.

A CRN Heretic!!!! at least to them... but kudos Jon Cardwell I see you are trying to understand.

A CRN Heretic!!!! at least to them... but kudos to Jon Cardwell as I see you are trying to understand.

Really this was one of the first articles on CRN that I actually appreciated... I think this guy is at least "trying" to understand and not just carelessly toss out straw men arguments.

He claims someone called him a Ken Silva wannabe... nope I think Jon, you are much better than that and that Ken should take notice.

Here is the article.

Yet I just truly wonder... how sincere is he?

Blessings,
iggy

CRN are the hearsay hunters... spreading gossip...

I Just followed a link on Rick's blog to another wonderful addition to the great research of CRN the gossip mill.

Following those links take you to how persecuted those at CRN think they are... never once thinking of the harm they cause to others with their lies, slander and innuendos. I have never seen them retract an incorrect statement... bearing false witness is part of the Big Ten guys... (That would be the Ten Commandments). These guys show once again they do not truly believe of follow the teaching of the bible but are out for self promotion and selfish ambition. Even when they seem to have the story right, I would doubt what they wrote as the bulk of the site is misinformation and lacking any real discernment. They seem to not truly value the Bible or Jesus' teachings. So, can you be a "christian" and hate your brothers? Can you believe the words of Jesus and slander and gossip and lie about others? Mostly can you seek after the Kingdom of God if you are building your own out of selfish ambition? Beware or divisive men and women like these.

Be sure to read the comments on the MMI post... it sets the record straight.

This is really sad.

Blessings,
iggy

Judging man is judging God as not worthy….

Judging man is judging God as not worthy….

Romans 2: 1-12

“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God "will give to each person according to what he has done." To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism. All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.”

I was challenged a while back by a person who stated I use the passage in Romans 2 wrongly in teaching people not to judge… so I decided that we should take a look at what is happening here…

First off, I will state chapter one in Romans is about the Gentile… and that they are clearly sinners… In a way Paul is winding up a pitch to toss out that will cross the plate if one is not ready to see what is happening. So point one:
Gentiles are sinners and because of creation have no excuse.

Sorry for the high speed run through Romans 1… so we come to chapter 2.

“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.”

These “you who pass judgment” are a reference to the Jewish believer in Rome. You see there were Jewish believers and gentile believers… and they did into get along. The Jewish believers condemned judged the gentiles for not following the Law as they did… they judged the gentile for not holding to the standard that the Jews saw the Law to be. Paul states that, yes these gentiles are sinners, but you do the same things and do not keep the very Law you are holding the gentiles to hold to…

Paul states that God’s judgment is based on Truth… for God is Truth… Jesus is Truth incarnate. Paul clearly points out that if one judges another yet is doing the same thing… that they will not escape God’s wrath at THE JUDGMENT. Why? Because as Paul is saying that they are hold “contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience” and that they are,” not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?” In other words they are denying the Grace of God and choosing to judge as God, they are choosing to be a god and denying God His rightful place.

Paul then state something that may sound a bit like it is against Grace, yet remember this is at the Last Judgment when God will judge you by what you did with Jesus and what you did with His Grace and Mercy…

“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God "will give to each person according to what he has done."”

Good News!

“To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life”

Bad news for those who displaced Jesus from His Throne of Judgment!

“But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”

Remember this is to “believers”… Which is hard for me to say as I believe in eternal security… which then make s me wonder if some who professed to be believers, were not… for they “hated their brothers” as John states. (1 John 2:9-10, 1 John 3:15)

To hate your brother is a sign one is not saved… so it would seem not all are "true believers" or are very immature believers.

“For God does not show favoritism. All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.”

God does not have favorites in the way the Jewish believers tried to teach… in fact Paul does a great job in pointing something out we may all miss… all have sinned… and all will die… the playing field is level… Jew and Gentile, will perish with or without the Law.

Now, tie all this so far with this passage.

“Romans 3: 9-28 “What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.
As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."
"Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips."
"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
"Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know."
"There is no fear of God before their eyes."
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.”

I know there is a lot going on in this passage, but I wanted the whole context for you. “All have sinned and fallen short the glory of God” yet “are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

To judge someone is in fact denying the Grace and mercy of God… and saying His justice is nothing… That is why Paul also writes: “

1 Corinthians 4: 4-6 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.
Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God. Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.”

To judge is putting your own pride over and against another man… pride is sin… it is the sin of Satan… to judge another is Satanic, and puts one in alignment with the Accuser of the brethren, Satan himself. It spits on the the Grace of God and calls God unjust and a liar… that God will not do as He said and fulfill His word…This is not walking in faith… it is walking against it as it is saying God is not faithful… so beware and do not judge one another.

Discernment is one thing, judgment another. Discernment will give compassion towards the other and hope for best as you reach out to restore in all humility. Judgment condemns what Jesus died for to save… The bible may use “judge” or “judgment” in a way that if one does not have a clear biblical picture one will fall into sin… yet to understand the meaning behind the word, and by following the Holy Spirit, one will know the voice of God and will know what Jesus commanded us to do… to Love God and Love one another… to do less is blasphemy.

Blessings
iggy

another example of the great discerning powers of the CRN group

This is partly from a comment on the blog linked to below... with a little more added to it. So the "you" is addressing the person at that site.

Here is another example of the great discerning powers of the CRN group… and their followers.
Did anyone else notice that though the word "heresy" is thrown out there... there is not one example of this heresy? That Ken's articles all go to his own blog and not one outside source... and that the only heresy is that Rob is saying "God loves you"?

So, where is the heresy? I think it sad that you call names without any real source or proof... in fact this only looks like you disagree on some minor thing... like "God loves you" and claim heresy.... which makes me think... what is YOUR gospel... "God hates you?"

If so, you are the heretic... For scripture is clear about the love God has for us... even when we are God's enemies, He died for us... to save us... out of love for us... For Genesis to Revelation is about the great Love of God for us... from the promise to send the Seed to redeem all creation to the revealing of Jesus in the Book of Revelation... one theme is clear... God loves us, and desires that none will perish. He is waiting patiently in hopes that as many can be saved as possible...

I think they need to repent from mischaracterizing God... The only thing I am sure of is that on Apprising ministries if one looks hard enough they may find some of Ken's belly button lint from his inbred website that links to himself as his authority of research...

Beware of these divisive men that teach God hates you... they are false teachers who hold selfish ambition as their false idol.
Blessings,
iggy
