CRN lies some more... but what's new?

Interesting that Chris Rosebrough sees fit to lie about Richard Abanes again. His claims that Richard has yet to give an answer... is well... a lie. Richard already gave an answer... which seems that Chris Rosebrough sees fit to ignore.

Personally this whole situation has shown me what these ODM's truly are. I see that they will stop at nothing and use the ways of the world to attack and slander others. They seem to have no shame... nor the ability to extend Grace, Mercy, or the loving Kindness of God. I wonder as I read scripture at the King who forgave a servant a great debt... yet that servant went out and demanded payment from another that owed him money...

Here is that passage.

Matt 18:21-35

21. Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" 22. Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

23. "Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. 25. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. 26. "The servant fell on his knees before him. `Be patient with me,' he begged, `and I will pay back everything.' 27. The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

28. "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. `Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded. 29. "His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, `Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.' 30. "But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt.

31. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened. 32. "Then the master called the servant in. `You wicked servant,' he said, `I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34. In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. 35. "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

This is my fear for these people.

In a recent dialogue with a very prominent figure in all this, they confessed that they had trouble "not hating" me. I believe that is part of their issue. They need to deal with the person in the mirror... and not project their issues on others.

I practice forgiveness daily... I forgive them for making even physical threats against my person as one "pastor" did. I forgive them for judging my salvation which is God's territory only.

I would not be surprise to receive a letter from a lawyer from one of them. Again, they seem to have no issues with doing as the world does.

This "Truth War" was never about truth...

My heart truly goes out to these people. I pray for them daily asking for God's best for them and that they be blessed in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I do not hate them... yet it seems they need to overcome their own hatred for others.

Blessings,

iggy

Often, I think people find out later rather than sooner, but in it all God is watching, taking note, planning, based upon our choices. In my case, I think of some of the things I have done in the past where I have needed the kind of forgiveness you talk about... But it God who often uses these personal failures to bring us closer to Him. We're just fortunate that we live in this age, rather than the old covenant age. I'd be sunk...

Iggy your not telling the truth.

If you had truly read my article at CRN then you'd know that I gave the legal definition of libel, which is writing an untruth about another person.

Nowhere in the article do I say that Abanes hasn't given an 'answer'. I say very clearly that Abanes hasn't substantiated a single allegation of libel. There is a big difference between the two and you got it dead wrong.

In Abanes' open letter to Steve Camp (which you linked to) he DOES NOT substantiate the allegations of libel that he leveled against Ken nor does he give any specifics regarding his allegations.

Instead, Abanes says:

"Now, as for specifics, it is not my responsibility to justify my opinion to the world. Where is that in the Bible? This is not an Internet tribunal; nor is it a global courtroom. I expressed my opinion to an ISP, and they took what they considered to be appropriate action. "

So, if you're going to accuse me of lying then I suggest you get your facts straight.

In the meantime, I advise you to clean up this post because it lies about me and that my friend IS libel.

Chris R,

The real question is this..

Why does Richard owe you anything.

Did you read the post at all... did you read the message of the unforgiving servant? Do you hear what the Spirit says?

I think you proved the point of the post most elegantly.

I pray for you... as nothing satisfies you hatred toward those that God has given you to love in spite of things.

It shows that you and the others do not practice love, mercy or grace... not seem to know what the kindness of God is about.... at all.

My prayers are with you... and your need for worldly ways to appease your hatred.

Again, Chris, this has never been about "truth" it is about people with selfish ambition.

Richard gave an answer... He asked the ISP to remove ONE POST and the legal dept at the ISP felt Ken needed to remove it. KEN refused to remove ONE POST so suffered the consequences. If you need an answer question the legal dept at the IPower.... still if you did not like Richard's answer you need to strive for peace not make things worse...

Yet, again, my point in the post was that you guys use worldly ways and accuse others of sin.

I wonder if the truth is revenue is down at some sites? I wonder if the truth is, that Ingrid admitted having trouble "hating me" and she like you need to spend time looking in the mirror praying to God what needs changed in your own lives instead of forcing your hatred on others.

May all the blessings and richness of GOd's grace rest upon you.

This post was made by a message board administrator in charge of moderating the forums at crosswalk.com and christianity.com.

+++++++++++++++++++++ BEGIN

From an Admin stand point I usually encourage people to use the report feature when they see someone violating our Terms of Service. One thing I have found is that the anonymity of the Internet fosters hotheadedness. Therefore, one never knows how terribly the recipient of a warning will respond. This is not to say that Mr. Silva has a tendency to that sort of behavior. (However, his response certainly does seem to indicate that it is in the realm of possibility that it would be so.)

We provide a service with a Terms of Service to which everyone agrees to abide by. Outlined in that service is how we will deal with violations of our Terms of Service. Rather than our members having to deal with this sort of unpleasantness we offer to deal with the situation privately.

In my opinion, a person does the right thing when he/she reports what is perceived to be a violation of our rules so that the situation can be reviewed and the appropriate action taken.

I doubt that the service provider in this case lost any sleep over any perceived threats of a law suit from Mr. Abanes. Such a suit standing up in court would be near impossible.

I believe, rather, that they did much the same thing I do. Look at the content and determine if it violated their rules. They found that it indeed did break their rules and sent a notice to Mr. Silva requesting that the content be removed for violations of the Terms of Service. (This is actually more than what we do in that we remove the content ourselves and notify the offender of the action taken.)

In this Admin's view Mr. Abanes did the right thing. . . .

Mr. Silva should have reviewed the Terms of Service and determined if they were rules by which he wished to be governed. . . . When asked to remove the content for violations of the Terms of Service Mr. Silva should have complied as per his agreement and then considered finding a site more suitable for his style.

+++++++++++++++++++++ END

This sums up the incident fairly well. I have nothing to add, except my 100% agreement with this administrator. As I have noted before, those who have ears to hear and eyes to see will both see and hear the truth.

What does CRN mean, and what is ODM?

From my distance this whole dispute looks pretty tatty. None of it looks that good on anybody. I'd like to see the power, in myself as well as others, to see through all this enough to stand aloof from it, letting people say what they say and do what they do without turning aside from our real business in life.

That Jesus says to love our enemies presupposes that we all have them, and that won't change.

Peter,

CRN is Christian Research Network and is a site Ken Silva runs. It attacks many people by spreading rumors and lies about them.

ODM stand for Online Discernment Ministry. Many are self proclaimed and seems to lack any... discernment...

What amazes me is the nastiness of these people... it seems that they have no ability to extend forgiveness, mercy, grace, or the loving kindness of God... it is all about them and being right...

It is truly sickening.

Yet, we are called to love them as you stated... to forgiven them daily...
