A Liberal and a conservation

A Liberal and a Conservative

Q: How do you tell the difference between a liberal and a conservative?

A: Easy. Watch a man drowning fifty feet offshore. The conservative will throw out 25 feet of rope and shout "swim for it!"The liberal will toss out 50 feet of rope, drop his own end, and go off to do another good deed.

Blessings,
iggy

heehee, is that real or is it a joke? haha, well...i dunno about conservative or liberal....i dunno division. i see only if one is of Christ or not of Christ. brother, i look forward to the day of rapture! it is when truly, there is no division, no argument about Bible, no more disputes! just purely God's love. imagine people who seemed to be enemies when they were alive and then in heaven, they hug each other and say, "brother, i love u, pls forgive me." Great and blessed is that day! blessed are those whom the Lord has called as His children! Amen! i truly desire to be a pastor, yet i know it is only possible if God is orientating it. i wanna go preach His good news to the poor. i wanna farm with the poor, live with them, teach their children about Jesus' love and play with their kids! i wan people to know that Jesus is a living God and He really loves His children! i wanna do it. yet, when it comes to qualification, honestly speaking i have no Bible college paper, no bible class participation cert, no experience(cos i am a young believer) and truly, i have nothing to give to be a pastor. if one day, i were to be given the honour by God to be a shepherd, truly, i will thank Him with tears in my eyes, for He knows my desire.. a desire to show His love to them. a desire to do things together with them. a desire to be literally one with them.

with Love,
Elson

Elson,
Thank God for Jesus and that men of God are sensitive to do His good works....

Your heart in God's hands in more powerful than any position in a Church.... even a Pastor.

I only say to you out of experience and love, never let a man, pastor or anyone stand between and Jesus. For you are His as much as any Pastor.

I have found that many times Pastors may be good teachers, but not Pastors as the Bible speaks of them.
Do you realize there is only one place in the NT that it talks about "pastors" as in some are given to be pastors....

If you look in the Greek you will find that the word speaks more of Jesus being our Great Shepherd... the Great Pastor!

I have come to realize that the position of Pastor in churches today is not really about the position of authority, but rather more a given purpose from God. Somewhere I believe we have changed it from relational to authority.

You may be a Pastor already. You do not need a college degree or anything other than God placing on your heart what works He has purposed for you! And that is a Glorious thing!

Be the gift that God has set in your heart. Seek Jesus and walk with His Eternal Life in your heart.

What is holding you back? Is it worth the wonder and awe God has for you…. Go dance with the children…. Love them in Jesus name. Work with the farmers. Literally put your hand to that plow. I believe your harvest will be greater than you can even imagine.

Blessings,
iggy

As a sometimes self (and sometimes other) proclaimed liberal . . . I resent that! :-) (I would throw the conservative person in with both sets of rope and let them both fend for themselves) :-)

Hugo,
I don't consider myself really conservative or liberal... I see great failure on both sides.

I see the values of the political situation very sad, Dem's claim to have these high "values" but are really just run by lobbyist and polls that seem to reflect the people but have nothing to do with what we really think.

Rep's are not much different. I seem to agree on many policies, yet the execution to those policies and continual cover up of "mistakes" gives me hesitations to listen to them with real credibility.

I found a small demographic of people who’s thinking seem to transcend left/right politicys. They are called "creative culturalists". They see to fit in the middle of the issues in a way that can really bring out change…. This demographic is new and is growing.

Blessings,
iggy
